Well over 100 “gamers” braved the drizzle and cool temperature for a chance to win $500 cash in the 2nd Annual River District Scavenger Hunt on June 4.  Twenty-seven businesses in downtown Danville and the Tobacco Warehouse District opened their doors to 125 participants who may not have ever crossed their thresholds before.  This Business Appreciation Week event was organized by the River District Association, City of Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Danville – Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.  We thank Danville Regional Medical Center, American National Bank, First Citizens Bank, First State Bank, and Virginia Bank & Trust for sponsoring the event.  Other donors include Commonwealth Silver and Goldsmiths, Blue Ridge Beverage, Photography by Lisa, and Von Wellington Photography.  Thanks to all who planned, contributed and played.
